About Ocean Initial Nursery Name Art

Seaside Initial runs a block-printed border of rolling waves, tiny spouting whales, seaweed and scallop shells around all four sides of a pale sand panel. One large painted capital in deep sea-teal stands inside it, a few coral starfish scattered round its feet, and the first name follows below in a relaxed script.

Every letter of the alphabet was painted in advance into that very same border at the same size, so two initials hung side by side match exactly and the preview is the real painting. Midnight Initial is the night-sky version of the same mechanism. Upright at 4:5, with the border running right around the edge.

How it works

  1. Choose the letter

The initial comes from the first name, though any other capital can be picked.

  2. Write the rest

The name goes underneath in script, followed by any birth details you want.

  3. See your piece

It appears right here within a couple of minutes. Pick the size, paper or canvas, and frame — or change something and try again.

  4. Only pay if you fall for one

No deposit, no obligation — if none of the designs feels right, you owe nothing.

  5. We print and ship

We start printing as soon as you order. Making it takes 2–5 business days, then it ships from the print partner nearest you.

Questions, answered

Do I pay anything before I see my piece?

No. Seeing your piece is free and needs no card. You only pay if you order a print.

How is my piece made?

With AI. Image models create new artwork from the details you add, guided by styles our team designs and tests. No one reviews it before you do, so what you see on the page is what we print.

How long does it take?

Your first piece usually appears on this page in a minute or two, and the other print shapes and sizes follow a few minutes later. Add your email if you want them saved to an account.

What if it isn't quite right?

Change the style or the wording and try again — it's free. Nothing is printed until you order.

What happens to the details I enter?

We use them only to create your pieces. They stay private to you and are sent to Google's Gemini image service to generate the artwork. Details you add but never submit are deleted after 7 days.

What sizes and formats can I order?

Your piece is prepared in the print shapes it suits, so you can pick what fits your wall. We offer a wide range of portrait, landscape and square formats from 6×6″ to 40×60″ — framed paper prints, canvas or framed canvas, or metal prints.

How long does printing take?

Printing takes 2–5 business days once you order, then your print ships from the print partner nearest you.

Is the capital painted for my order?

No, it was painted in advance. There is one finished gouache capital for each letter of the alphabet, and every one sits inside the very same wave border, so two initials hung side by side match. Your preview shows the real painting.

What happens with an accented initial?

The painted letters are the 26 plain capitals, so an initial such as É or Å is shown on its base letter, E or A. The accent is kept in the script name below, just as you typed it.

How long can the name be?

One to sixteen characters in your own capitalization, including one space, hyphens and apostrophes. It is set in a relaxed, handwritten-style script, and the form tells you if a character is missing from that typeface.

Which extra lines can I add?

A full name, the birth date with the time, and the weight, each in small light serif capitals under the name. All are optional, and each can be resized or nudged on the preview.

What colors are used?

Deep sea-teal and pale sand, with touches of coral pink and cream. It pairs naturally with a coastal room, a blue-and-white nursery or other whale prints.

Which shape is it?

Upright at 4:5, with the border running around all four edges of the print.

Will the name be spelled exactly right?

Yes. On every style the name is either set in real type or checked letter by letter before the design reaches you, and nothing is printed until you have seen it. If a style cannot draw a character, the form tells you before you start.

Why is there a length limit on the name?

Each scene holds the name its own way — a balloon per letter, a board on the side of a bus, letters the animals lean on — so each style has room for a certain number of letters. If a name is too long for one style, another usually fits it.

Can I add the birth date, time and weight?

Yes, all three are optional. They are set in small type beneath the art, and on most styles you can move or resize each line on the preview. The weight can be in kilograms or in pounds and ounces.

Can I order before the baby arrives?

Yes. Leave the birth details blank and the print carries the name alone — a baby-shower gift that still works once the baby is home.

What occasions is nursery name art for?

Decorating a new baby's room, a baby shower or naming-day gift, a first birthday, or a keepsake for grandparents. The name is the whole idea, so the piece still belongs on the wall long after the nursery becomes a bedroom.
