About Midnight Map Print

Midnight renders your map as fine white lines on a deep, near-black ground. Highways and main roads are slightly brighter than side streets, water sits a shade darker than the land, and parks are barely lighter. Nothing else separates them, so the picture is made entirely of line weight and value, a little like a city seen from the air at night.

The streets come from real map data and are restyled with AI, and your title, names, caption, coordinates and date sit in a dark panel, set in real type. It is the most minimal of the dark map styles, with no gold, no copper and no window shape, where Gilded adds antique-gold lines on slate. It suits a hometown or a city you love on a black, white and gray wall.

Do I pay anything before I see my piece?

No. Seeing your piece is free and needs no card. You only pay if you order a print.

How is my piece made?

With AI. Image models create new artwork from the details you add, guided by styles our team designs and tests. No one reviews it before you do, so what you see on the page is what we print.

How long does it take?

Your first piece usually appears on this page in a minute or two, and the other print shapes and sizes follow a few minutes later. Add your email if you want them saved to an account.

What if it isn't quite right?

Change the style or the wording and try again — it's free. Nothing is printed until you order.

What happens to the details I enter?

We use them only to create your pieces. They stay private to you and are sent to Google's Gemini image service to generate the artwork. Details you add but never submit are deleted after 7 days.

What sizes and formats can I order?

Your piece is prepared in the print shapes it suits, so you can pick what fits your wall. We offer a wide range of portrait, landscape and square formats from 6×6″ to 40×60″ — framed paper prints, canvas or framed canvas, or metal prints.

How long does printing take?

Printing takes 2–5 business days once you order, then your print ships from the print partner nearest you.

How is Midnight different from the Gilded map print?

Both use a dark map that runs to the edges, with the text in a panel. Midnight renders the streets in white on near-black for a cool, graphic look, while Gilded renders them in antique-gold ink on a lighter slate gray for something warmer. If your room is black, white and gray, Midnight usually fits more easily.

Does a dark map print work in a small or bright room?

Yes, as long as the map has enough streets to carry it. A dark print gives a strong block of contrast on a pale wall, so it works well as a single statement piece. In a small space a smaller size keeps it from dominating the wall, and you can compare sizes before you order.

Is it a real map or an artistic impression?

Real. The streets, water and coastline come from map data for the place you pick; the style changes how they are drawn, not where they are. A local will recognise their street.

Can I mark a specific spot — our house, the restaurant, the church?

Centre the map on it — that is the most reliable way to feature one spot, and you see the result before you order.

Can I have more than one place on one piece?

One place per print for now. For two cities — where you met and where you live now — make two prints and hang them as a pair.

What about a place that is very small, or very large?

Frame the map however you like — a village fills a frame as well as a city does. A whole region or country works too; very large areas show less street detail.

What places can a custom map print show?

Any place that matters: the city where you met, your hometown, the neighbourhood of your first home, a stretch of coastline you keep coming back to, the town you got married in. If it is on the map, we can draw it.
