About Flat Cartoon Family Portrait

Flat Cartoon turns your family into a picture with bold, even ink outlines and flat blocks of color, the way a comic panel or a children's picture book would. Faces are simplified into a few confident lines with rosy cheeks, and everyone wears simple everyday clothes. Behind the group sits a bright, graphic ground scattered with small dots, so the portrait reads from across a room.

The portrait is made with AI from the photos you add, a few of each person and pet, and the family is arranged in one scene with adults behind and children in front. Unlike Flat Realism, which drops the outlines and keeps real proportions, Flat Cartoon goes for playful caricature. It suits a playroom, a hallway gallery wall or a Mother's Day gift.

Prices start at CA$61.00: Canvas from CA$61.00 (8″×10″) and Framed Poster from CA$82.00 (8″×10″).

Questions, answered

Do I pay anything before I see my piece?

No. Seeing your piece is free and needs no card. You only pay if you order a print.

How is my piece made?

With AI. Image models create new artwork from your photos and details, guided by styles our team designs and tests. No one reviews it before you do, so what you see on the page is what we print.

How long does it take?

Your first piece usually appears on this page in a minute or two, and the other print shapes and sizes follow a few minutes later. Add your email if you want them saved to an account.

What if it isn't quite right?

Change the style, a photo or the wording and try again — it's free. Nothing is printed until you order.

What happens to my photos?

We use them only to create your pieces. They stay private to you and are sent to Google's Gemini image service to generate the artwork. Photos you add but never submit are deleted after 7 days.

What sizes and formats can I order?

Your piece is prepared in the print shapes it suits, so you can pick what fits your wall. We offer a wide range of portrait, landscape and square formats from 6×6″ to 40×60″ — framed paper prints, canvas or framed canvas, or metal prints.

How long does printing take?

Printing takes 2–5 business days once you order, then your print ships from the print partner nearest you.

How much do faces change in a Flat Cartoon family portrait?

More than in the painted styles. Features are reduced to clean outlines and flat color, so you get each person's hair, glasses, smile and build rather than every wrinkle or freckle. If a face feels too simplified, try a different photo of that person or compare with Flat Realism; seeing another version is free.

Does Flat Cartoon suit a family with young children?

Yes. The bold outlines, bright dotted ground and friendly, simplified faces appeal to children, and a few clear pictures of each child are enough; they do not need to be posed. Babies are usually shown held by a parent, with older children in front of the adults, as in a classic family photo.

Do the photos need to be taken together?

No — that is the point. Each person comes from their own photos and we compose them into one scene. Different years, places and lighting all work.

How many people can be in the portrait?

Up to the card limit on the form — enough for a large family including pets. The form shows how many people and pets fit in one portrait.

Can our dog be in the family portrait?

Yes. Add your dog — or your cat — as a card of its own, with one to three clear photos of its face, and it appears in the portrait beside everyone else, in the same style. A pet takes a card just like a person, so it counts toward the same limit.

Can I include someone who has passed away?

Yes, from older photos — many families make one for exactly this reason. A clear view of the face is what matters, not the age of the photo.

Will the faces actually look like us?

The style sets the medium; the likeness comes from your photos. If someone is not quite right, add a clearer photo of them and try again — it's free, and nothing is printed until you order.

What occasions is a custom family portrait for?

The moments a family changes shape: a new baby, a wedding, an anniversary, grandparents far away — or simply finally getting everyone, dog included, into one frame.
