Pop Art Pet Portrait
Your pet as a retro pop screen print in flat color and bold line.
About Pop Art Pet Portrait
A custom pop art pet portrait from your photo: your dog or cat as a retro print in flat color and confident black line. Pop art takes a face and makes it graphic. The outline is one bold black stroke, the coat is reduced to two or three flat tones with a little screen-print grain, and the ground is a bright block of turquoise, pink or yellow with a few bursts and sparks.
Whiskers, eye shine and the edge of a white blaze survive as clean shapes rather than detail. The likeness comes from your photos: our AI keeps the markings, the eye color and the shape of the face, simplified into print colors, and shows the piece here before you pay. Next to Risograph, with its overprinted spot inks and misregistration, Pop Art is cleaner and brighter.
Prices start at NZ$74.00: Canvas from NZ$74.00 (8″×10″) and Framed Poster from NZ$79.00 (8″×10″).

Questions, answered
Do I pay anything before I see my piece?
No. Seeing your piece is free and needs no card. You only pay if you order a print.
How is my piece made?
With AI. Image models create new artwork from your photos and details, guided by styles our team designs and tests. No one reviews it before you do, so what you see on the page is what we print.
How long does it take?
Your first piece usually appears on this page in a minute or two, and the other print shapes and sizes follow a few minutes later. Add your email if you want them saved to an account.
What if it isn't quite right?
Change the style, a photo or the wording and try again — it's free. Nothing is printed until you order.
What happens to my photos?
We use them only to create your pieces. They stay private to you and are sent to Google's Gemini image service to generate the artwork. Photos you add but never submit are deleted after 7 days.
What sizes and formats can I order?
Your piece is prepared in the print shapes it suits, so you can pick what fits your wall. We offer a wide range of portrait, landscape and square formats from 6×6″ to 40×60″ — framed paper prints, canvas or framed canvas, or metal prints.
How long does printing take?
Printing takes 2–5 business days once you order, then your print ships from the print partner nearest you.
How is Pop Art different from Risograph?
Both are bold and retro. Pop Art uses a clean black outline, flat color and a bright single-color ground with a few bursts, like a screen-printed poster. Risograph overprints two or three spot colors, such as coral, hot pink and cobalt, with visible grain and slightly shifted layers, so it looks more like a print from a small indie press. Pick Pop Art for punch and Risograph for texture.
Which photos work best for a pop art pet portrait?
A front-facing photo with both eyes visible and good light, because pop art reduces the face to a few flat shapes and the expression carries the piece. Clear contrast helps, such as a dark dog on a light floor or a pale cat against a darker wall. A second photo helps with markings. A busy background does not matter, since it is replaced with flat color.
What kind of photo works best?
A sharp, well-lit photo where the face fills the frame and both eyes are visible. Daylight beats flash; eye level beats looking down. One good photo is enough — two or three from different angles help.
Can you put more than one pet in the same portrait?
Yes — add a card for each pet, up to five, with their own photos. They do not need to have been photographed together: each animal comes from its own pictures and we compose them into one portrait.
Will it look like my pet, or like a generic dog in that style?
Like yours. The style sets the medium and the mood; the face, markings and expression come from your photos. If a detail is off, add a clearer photo or a note and try again — it's free, and nothing is printed until you order.
I'd like a portrait of a pet who has passed away. Do old photos work?
They do. Scanned prints and older phone photos are fine as long as the face is visible.
What occasions is a custom pet portrait for?
Birthdays, gotcha-day anniversaries, a new puppy or kitten, a gift for the pet parent who has everything — and memorials for a pet who is no longer here. A custom pet portrait is what people give when flowers feel too small.
