About Car Window Pet Portrait — Vintage Hollywood

Funny custom pet portrait from your photo: your dog or cat in a car window, as a vintage Hollywood portrait. This silver screen car window pet portrait looks like a still from an old road movie. Your pet leans out of the rear window of a moving car, eyes half closed against the air, ears and jowls pushed back by the wind, while the roadside dissolves into soft, streaked motion behind.

Silver Screen renders it with a photographic finish: warm sepia and gray tones, gentle contrast and fine fur detail catching the light, with the dark car door framing the head. Cobalt Line turns this ride into a bold blue graphic; this one is nostalgic. Because it looks like a real photograph, it is worth being clear that our AI creates the image from your own photos, no road trip required. It suits a staircase, a hallway or a study.

Prices start at NZ$74.00: Canvas from NZ$74.00 (8″×10″) and Framed Poster from NZ$79.00 (8″×10″).

How it works

  1. Choose your styles

Pick the looks you want to see and, where it matters, the pose.

  2. Add your pets

A card for each pet, with one to three clear photos; a well-lit face with visible eyes matters most.

  3. See your portraits

They appear on this page within a couple of minutes; choose the size, paper or canvas, and frame.

  4. Only pay if you fall for one

No deposit, no obligation — if none of the designs feels right, you owe nothing.

  5. We print and ship

We start printing as soon as you order. Making it takes 2–5 business days, then it ships from the print partner nearest you.

Questions, answered

Do I pay anything before I see my piece?

No. Seeing your piece is free and needs no card. You only pay if you order a print.

How is my piece made?

With AI. Image models create new artwork from your photos and details, guided by styles our team designs and tests. No one reviews it before you do, so what you see on the page is what we print.

How long does it take?

Your first piece usually appears on this page in a minute or two, and the other print shapes and sizes follow a few minutes later. Add your email if you want them saved to an account.

What if it isn't quite right?

Change the style, a photo or the wording and try again — it's free. Nothing is printed until you order.

What happens to my photos?

We use them only to create your pieces. They stay private to you and are sent to Google's Gemini image service to generate the artwork. Photos you add but never submit are deleted after 7 days.

What sizes and formats can I order?

Your piece is prepared in the print shapes it suits, so you can pick what fits your wall. We offer a wide range of portrait, landscape and square formats from 6×6″ to 40×60″ — framed paper prints, canvas or framed canvas, or metal prints.

How long does printing take?

Printing takes 2–5 business days once you order, then your print ships from the print partner nearest you.

Is this a real photograph of my dog in a car?

No. It has the look of a vintage photograph, but the whole scene, including the car, the motion blur and the sepia tones, is created by AI from the photos of your pet that you add. Your dog doesn't need to have been in a car at all, and the image shown on the page is the one that gets printed.

How is Silver Screen different from Cobalt Line for this scene?

Silver Screen is soft, photographic and toned in sepia and gray, with real-looking motion blur and fine fur detail. Cobalt Line turns the same moment into a graphic drawing with flat blue car shapes and flowing lines on cream. Pick Silver Screen for nostalgia and Cobalt Line for a crisp, modern look.

What kind of photo works best?

A sharp, well-lit photo where the face fills the frame and both eyes are visible. Daylight beats flash; eye level beats looking down. One good photo is enough — two or three from different angles help.

Can you put more than one pet in the same portrait?

Yes — add a card for each pet, up to five, with their own photos. They do not need to have been photographed together: each animal comes from its own pictures and we compose them into one portrait.

Will it look like my pet, or like a generic dog in that style?

Like yours. The style sets the medium and the mood; the face, markings and expression come from your photos. If a detail is off, add a clearer photo or a note and try again — it's free, and nothing is printed until you order.

I'd like a portrait of a pet who has passed away. Do old photos work?

They do. Scanned prints and older phone photos are fine as long as the face is visible.

What occasions is a custom pet portrait for?

Birthdays, gotcha-day anniversaries, a new puppy or kitten, a gift for the pet parent who has everything — and memorials for a pet who is no longer here. A custom pet portrait is what people give when flowers feel too small.
