About Bedroom Pet Portrait — Oil Painting

Funny custom pet portrait from your photo: your dog or cat in bed, as an oil painting. The bedroom pet portrait celebrates the lazy morning. Your pet stretches out on an unmade bed, head resting on a pillow, eyes open and unhurried, with plain white linen and a duvet pushed into soft folds around them. Low morning light slants in through a window and warms the sheets.

Impasto makes the bedding irresistible: thick, creamy ridges of paint sculpt each crease and pillow, and the coat is laid in rich, textured strokes, ideal for curly, fluffy or wiry fur. The palette stays soft, cream and warm apricot in our example. Pulp Noir gives this lie-in hard shafts of light, and Misty Sanshui a blue hush; this is the warm one. Our AI builds it from your photos to hang above a bed.

How it works

  1. Choose your styles

Pick the looks you want to see and, where it matters, the pose.

  2. Add your pets

A card for each pet, with one to three clear photos; a well-lit face with visible eyes matters most.

  3. See your portraits

They appear on this page within a couple of minutes; choose the size, paper or canvas, and frame.

  4. Only pay if you fall for one

No deposit, no obligation — if none of the designs feels right, you owe nothing.

  5. We print and ship

We start printing as soon as you order. Making it takes 2–5 business days, then it ships from the print partner nearest you.

Questions, answered

Do I pay anything before I see my piece?

No. Seeing your piece is free and needs no card. You only pay if you order a print.

How is my piece made?

With AI. Image models create new artwork from your photos and details, guided by styles our team designs and tests. No one reviews it before you do, so what you see on the page is what we print.

How long does it take?

Your first piece usually appears on this page in a minute or two, and the other print shapes and sizes follow a few minutes later. Add your email if you want them saved to an account.

What if it isn't quite right?

Change the style, a photo or the wording and try again — it's free. Nothing is printed until you order.

What happens to my photos?

We use them only to create your pieces. They stay private to you and are sent to Google's Gemini image service to generate the artwork. Photos you add but never submit are deleted after 7 days.

What sizes and formats can I order?

Your piece is prepared in the print shapes it suits, so you can pick what fits your wall. We offer a wide range of portrait, landscape and square formats from 6×6″ to 40×60″ — framed paper prints, canvas or framed canvas, or metal prints.

How long does printing take?

Printing takes 2–5 business days once you order, then your print ships from the print partner nearest you.

Which photos work best for the bedroom scene?

A photo of your pet lying down, ideally with the head resting on something, matches the pose best, together with a clear face shot where the eyes are open. The scene shows the whole animal lying on the bed, so a full-body photo helps with proportions and the shape of the legs.

Does the bedroom scene suit a cat?

Yes. Cats are experts at this pose, and the composition is written for any pet lying among the pillows and linen. The examples show a cockapoo; your cat's face, coloring and markings come from your own photos. Two pets can share the bed too, each from their own pictures.

What kind of photo works best?

A sharp, well-lit photo where the face fills the frame and both eyes are visible. Daylight beats flash; eye level beats looking down. One good photo is enough — two or three from different angles help.

Can you put more than one pet in the same portrait?

Yes — add a card for each pet, up to five, with their own photos. They do not need to have been photographed together: each animal comes from its own pictures and we compose them into one portrait.

Will it look like my pet, or like a generic dog in that style?

Like yours. The style sets the medium and the mood; the face, markings and expression come from your photos. If a detail is off, add a clearer photo or a note and try again — it's free, and nothing is printed until you order.

I'd like a portrait of a pet who has passed away. Do old photos work?

They do. Scanned prints and older phone photos are fine as long as the face is visible.

What occasions is a custom pet portrait for?

Birthdays, gotcha-day anniversaries, a new puppy or kitten, a gift for the pet parent who has everything — and memorials for a pet who is no longer here. A custom pet portrait is what people give when flowers feel too small.
