About Pool Float Pet Portrait — Oil Painting

Funny personalized pet portrait from your photo: your dog or cat on a pool float, as an oil painting. The pool float pet portrait is the vacation your pet deserves. Your dog or cat lies along an inflatable ring drifting on bright turquoise water, front paws draped over the near edge, head and ears kept clear of the water. The midday sun is high, and the pool is set up with just the ring and your pet in it.

Impasto piles the paint on: the water becomes a restless surface of turquoise and white ridges, the ring gleams in thick strokes of sunny color, and the fur picks up warm reflected light. Ink & Wash offers the same float in airy watercolor, and Pulp Noir in stark black and white; this one is the lushest. Our AI builds it from your photos for a bathroom, a vacation home or a sunny kitchen.

How it works

  1. Choose your styles

Pick the looks you want to see and, where it matters, the pose.

  2. Add your pets

A card for each pet, with one to three clear photos; a well-lit face with visible eyes matters most.

  3. See your portraits

They appear on this page within a couple of minutes; choose the size, paper or canvas, and frame.

  4. Only pay if you fall for one

No deposit, no obligation — if none of the designs feels right, you owe nothing.

  5. We print and ship

We start printing as soon as you order. Making it takes 2–5 business days, then it ships from the print partner nearest you.

Questions, answered

Do I pay anything before I see my piece?

No. Seeing your piece is free and needs no card. You only pay if you order a print.

How is my piece made?

With AI. Image models create new artwork from your photos and details, guided by styles our team designs and tests. No one reviews it before you do, so what you see on the page is what we print.

How long does it take?

Your first piece usually appears on this page in a minute or two, and the other print shapes and sizes follow a few minutes later. Add your email if you want them saved to an account.

What if it isn't quite right?

Change the style, a photo or the wording and try again — it's free. Nothing is printed until you order.

What happens to my photos?

We use them only to create your pieces. They stay private to you and are sent to Google's Gemini image service to generate the artwork. Photos you add but never submit are deleted after 7 days.

What sizes and formats can I order?

Your piece is prepared in the print shapes it suits, so you can pick what fits your wall. We offer a wide range of portrait, landscape and square formats from 6×6″ to 40×60″ — framed paper prints, canvas or framed canvas, or metal prints.

How long does printing take?

Printing takes 2–5 business days once you order, then your print ships from the print partner nearest you.

Which photos work best for the pool float scene?

A photo of your pet lying down with the front paws forward is the closest match to the pose, plus a clear, well-lit shot of the face. Short-legged and stocky breeds look especially good on the ring, but any build works because the proportions come from your photos. Try to avoid wet-fur photos, which change how the coat looks.

Can I change the color of the ring or the pool setting?

Not on this page. The ring, the turquoise water and the empty pool are part of the set scene, so results stay close to the example, where the ring is yellow. If an extra object or person slips into a result, try another photo. For a different atmosphere, the same pool float scene is also offered in Pulp Noir and Ink & Wash.

Can two pets share the ring float?

Yes. Add a card for each pet, up to five, and they are composed lying together along one ring. Two small or medium pets fit naturally. With larger dogs or more animals the ring becomes a squeeze, so a larger print size helps each face read clearly.

What kind of photo works best?

A sharp, well-lit photo where the face fills the frame and both eyes are visible. Daylight beats flash; eye level beats looking down. One good photo is enough — two or three from different angles help.

Can you put more than one pet in the same portrait?

Yes — add a card for each pet, up to five, with their own photos. They do not need to have been photographed together: each animal comes from its own pictures and we compose them into one portrait.

Will it look like my pet, or like a generic dog in that style?

Like yours. The style sets the medium and the mood; the face, markings and expression come from your photos. If a detail is off, add a clearer photo or a note and try again — it's free, and nothing is printed until you order.

I'd like a portrait of a pet who has passed away. Do old photos work?

They do. Scanned prints and older phone photos are fine as long as the face is visible.

What occasions is a custom pet portrait for?

Birthdays, gotcha-day anniversaries, a new puppy or kitten, a gift for the pet parent who has everything — and memorials for a pet who is no longer here. A custom pet portrait is what people give when flowers feel too small.
