About Garden Swing Pet Portrait — Black & White Linocut

Funny custom pet portrait from your photo: your dog or cat on a garden swing, as a black & white linocut print. The swing pet portrait is a slow summer afternoon in one frame. Your pet sits square on the plank seat of a rope swing hung from the bough of a large tree, front paws on the wood, two thick ropes rising on either side and a meadow falling away toward a low sun. Nobody is pushing; there is nowhere to be.

Folk Linocut gives it the look of an illustrated storybook print. The spreading branches are carved in bold black, the grass and distant hills in fine parallel cuts, and the sky in rings of lines around the sun, framed in our example by a printed border. Pulp Noir turns this swing into a moody golden-hour poster; this one stays gentle. Made with AI from your photos, it suits a child's room or a farmhouse kitchen.

How it works

  1. Choose your styles

Pick the looks you want to see and, where it matters, the pose.

  2. Add your pets

A card for each pet, with one to three clear photos; a well-lit face with visible eyes matters most.

  3. See your portraits

They appear on this page within a couple of minutes; choose the size, paper or canvas, and frame.

  4. Only pay if you fall for one

No deposit, no obligation — if none of the designs feels right, you owe nothing.

  5. We print and ship

We start printing as soon as you order. Making it takes 2–5 business days, then it ships from the print partner nearest you.

Questions, answered

Do I pay anything before I see my piece?

No. Seeing your piece is free and needs no card. You only pay if you order a print.

How is my piece made?

With AI. Image models create new artwork from your photos and details, guided by styles our team designs and tests. No one reviews it before you do, so what you see on the page is what we print.

How long does it take?

Your first piece usually appears on this page in a minute or two, and the other print shapes and sizes follow a few minutes later. Add your email if you want them saved to an account.

What if it isn't quite right?

Change the style, a photo or the wording and try again — it's free. Nothing is printed until you order.

What happens to my photos?

We use them only to create your pieces. They stay private to you and are sent to Google's Gemini image service to generate the artwork. Photos you add but never submit are deleted after 7 days.

What sizes and formats can I order?

Your piece is prepared in the print shapes it suits, so you can pick what fits your wall. We offer a wide range of portrait, landscape and square formats from 6×6″ to 40×60″ — framed paper prints, canvas or framed canvas, or metal prints.

How long does printing take?

Printing takes 2–5 business days once you order, then your print ships from the print partner nearest you.

Which photos work best for the garden swing scene?

A photo of your pet sitting upright is ideal, because the scene shows the whole animal seated on the plank with the front paws forward. Add a clear face shot as well. Dogs photographed lying down can still be placed on the swing, but a sitting photo gives the most natural build and proportions.

Can two pets sit on the swing together?

Yes, as long as they fit on one plank. Add a card for each pet with their own photos, and they are composed sitting side by side on the same swing, with the ropes to either side. Two animals look natural; three or more makes a crowded seat, so consider a larger print if you add them.

What kind of photo works best?

A sharp, well-lit photo where the face fills the frame and both eyes are visible. Daylight beats flash; eye level beats looking down. One good photo is enough — two or three from different angles help.

Can you put more than one pet in the same portrait?

Yes — add a card for each pet, up to five, with their own photos. They do not need to have been photographed together: each animal comes from its own pictures and we compose them into one portrait.

Will it look like my pet, or like a generic dog in that style?

Like yours. The style sets the medium and the mood; the face, markings and expression come from your photos. If a detail is off, add a clearer photo or a note and try again — it's free, and nothing is printed until you order.

I'd like a portrait of a pet who has passed away. Do old photos work?

They do. Scanned prints and older phone photos are fine as long as the face is visible.

What occasions is a custom pet portrait for?

Birthdays, gotcha-day anniversaries, a new puppy or kitten, a gift for the pet parent who has everything — and memorials for a pet who is no longer here. A custom pet portrait is what people give when flowers feel too small.
