Stork Nursery Name Art — Stork Post
A friendly stork in a postman's cap, carrying a bundle with the name on it.
About Stork Nursery Name Art
Stork Post is the oldest way of announcing a birth, painted in soft watercolor: a white stork in a small postman's cap stands on a cream cloud with a knotted linen bundle swinging from its beak and a few pink hearts floating past. The name is lettered across the front of that bundle exactly as you type it, capitals and accents included.
Only the bundle is lettered for your order — the bird, the cloud and the hearts come from one approved painting — and the lettering is read back against your spelling before you see it. Engraved Stork tells the same story as an antique plate. Upright at 2:3 and 4:5, plus a wide 3:2 with the bird in flight.

Questions, answered
Do I pay anything before I see my piece?
No. Seeing your piece is free and needs no card. You only pay if you order a print.
How is my piece made?
With AI. Image models create new artwork from the details you add, guided by styles our team designs and tests. No one reviews it before you do, so what you see on the page is what we print.
How long does it take?
Your first piece usually appears on this page in a minute or two, and the other print shapes and sizes follow a few minutes later. Add your email if you want them saved to an account.
What if it isn't quite right?
Change the style or the wording and try again — it's free. Nothing is printed until you order.
What happens to the details I enter?
We use them only to create your pieces. They stay private to you and are sent to Google's Gemini image service to generate the artwork. Details you add but never submit are deleted after 7 days.
What sizes and formats can I order?
Your piece is prepared in the print shapes it suits, so you can pick what fits your wall. We offer a wide range of portrait, landscape and square formats from 6×6″ to 40×60″ — framed paper prints, canvas or framed canvas, or metal prints.
How long does printing take?
Printing takes 2–5 business days once you order, then your print ships from the print partner nearest you.
How does the name get onto the bundle?
We start from a finished stork illustration and letter the name onto the front of the cloth bundle only, leaving the rest of the painting untouched. The lettering is then read back against your spelling, and a mismatch is redone before you see anything.
Can I use accents or a hyphenated name?
Names of up to sixteen characters work, written as you type them, with hyphens and apostrophes. Some accented letters, like é and ö, can be lettered too, and the form tells you straight away about any character that cannot be lettered. Spaces are not used on the bundle.
Do I need to add birth details?
No, they are off by default because the stork carries the picture on its own. If you want them, add a full name, the date and time of birth on one line, and the weight in kg or lb and oz.
Is there a landscape version?
Yes. Besides the upright 2:3 and 4:5 compositions, there is a wide 3:2 version with the stork in flight, the bundle swinging gently from its beak.
Why does the lettering take a moment?
Because it is painted in rather than typed on. After you press See it, the bundle is lettered and checked, then turned into a real product with mockups, usually within a few minutes. Paying only happens if you decide to buy.
Will the name be spelled exactly right?
Yes. On every style the name is either set in real type or checked letter by letter before the design reaches you, and nothing is printed until you have seen it. If a style cannot draw a character, the form tells you before you start.
Why is there a length limit on the name?
Each scene holds the name its own way — a balloon per letter, a board on the side of a bus, letters the animals lean on — so each style has room for a certain number of letters. If a name is too long for one style, another usually fits it.
Can I add the birth date, time and weight?
Yes, all three are optional. They are set in small type beneath the art, and on most styles you can move or resize each line on the preview. The weight can be in kilograms or in pounds and ounces.
Can I order before the baby arrives?
Yes. Leave the birth details blank and the print carries the name alone — a baby-shower gift that still works once the baby is home.
What occasions is nursery name art for?
Decorating a new baby's room, a baby shower or naming-day gift, a first birthday, or a keepsake for grandparents. The name is the whole idea, so the piece still belongs on the wall long after the nursery becomes a bedroom.
How much does it cost?
Seeing your piece is free — you only pay if you order a print. Prints start at NZ$69.00, and the exact price of each size and finish is shown on this page.
