About Mother and Child Portrait

This portrait is built around one gesture: two faces pressed gently together. The parent holds the child close, cheek to cheek, and both turn toward the viewer with the same calm, warm look. The parent wears loose white muslin with a deep red shawl around the shoulders, the child is in soft white, and a plain warm background lets the light fall on the two faces and nothing else.

It is made with AI from a few photos of each of you. It is titled for a mother and her child, and it works just as well for a grandparent and grandchild or a parent and their grown son or daughter. Exactly two people fit, which keeps both faces large and close.

Prices start at £56.00: Canvas from £56.00 (12″×16″) and Framed Poster from £62.00 (12″×16″).

Questions, answered

Do I pay anything before I see my piece?

No. Seeing your piece is free and needs no card. You only pay if you order a print.

How is my piece made?

With AI. Image models create new artwork from your photos and details, guided by styles our team designs and tests. No one reviews it before you do, so what you see on the page is what we print.

How long does it take?

Your first piece usually appears on this page in a minute or two, and the other print shapes and sizes follow a few minutes later. Add your email if you want them saved to an account.

What if it isn't quite right?

Change the style, a photo or the wording and try again — it's free. Nothing is printed until you order.

What if my print arrives damaged or misprinted?

Tell us within 14 days of delivery, with your order number and a photo, and we'll reprint it or refund you, whichever you prefer. You don't need to send it back. You approve the exact design before you order, so a print that doesn't match it counts as a misprint. Because each piece is made to order, we can't take it back if you change your mind.

What happens to my photos?

We use them only to create your pieces. They stay private to you and are sent to Google's Gemini image service to generate the artwork. Photos you add but never submit are deleted after 7 days.

What sizes and formats can I order?

Your piece is prepared in the print shapes it suits, so you can pick what fits your wall. We offer a wide range of portrait, landscape and square formats from 6×6″ to 40×60″ — framed paper prints, canvas or framed canvas, or metal prints.

How long does printing take?

Printing takes 2–5 business days once you order, then your print ships from the print partner nearest you.

Does it have to be a mother and a young child?

No. The pose suits any two people who are close: a grandparent and grandchild, a father and baby, two sisters, or a mother with her adult son or daughter. The title says mother and child because that is how most people look for it, and the picture itself is simply two faces, side by side and close.

Our photos were not taken together. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Each of you is added from your own photos, so separate pictures taken years apart work fine. Upload one to three clear, front-facing photos of each person. For a child, a recent photo gives the truest likeness, and for a baby, one where the eyes are open.

Why only two people?

Because the whole picture is the touch between two faces. A third person would push both faces smaller and break the gesture. For three or more generations together, the generational family portrait lines everyone up shoulder to shoulder instead, with each face still large and clear.

What does it cost to see it?

The portrait is made with AI and shown as a free preview; no card is asked for. You see both faces first, and you pay only if you decide to order a print on paper, canvas or metal, framed or not, in the size you choose. It makes a Mother's Day present that hangs where you see it every day.

Do the photos need to be taken together?

No — that is the point. Each person comes from their own photos and we compose them into one scene. Different years, places and lighting all work.

How many people can be in the portrait?

Up to the card limit on the form — enough for a large family including pets. The form shows how many people and pets fit in one portrait.

Can our dog be in the family portrait?

Yes. Add your dog — or your cat — as a card of its own, with one to three clear photos of its face, and it appears in the portrait beside everyone else, in the same style. A pet takes a card just like a person, so it counts toward the same limit.

Can I include someone who has passed away?

Yes, from older photos — many families make one for exactly this reason. A clear view of the face is what matters, not the age of the photo.

Will the faces actually look like us?

The style sets the medium; the likeness comes from your photos. If someone is not quite right, add a clearer photo of them and try again — it's free, and nothing is printed until you order.

What occasions is a custom family portrait for?

The moments a family changes shape: a new baby, a wedding, an anniversary, grandparents far away — or simply finally getting everyone, dog included, into one frame.
