Questions, answered
What will the portrait look like?
Soft studio light, fine grain and a long tonal range describe skin and hair in their own relative grey values. The warm fibre-paper appearance is part of the image printed on your chosen product. Use the free preview to check how this treatment represents each person and how the complete design sits on your chosen product before ordering.
Can I use photos taken separately?
Yes. Use a clear group photograph or separate photographs and identify the people to include. Choose pictures that show each face and the whole hairstyle clearly. Check every selected person and the finished composition in your free preview before deciding whether to order. This generation-line portrait places three to four people in age order, facing forward with every face visible.
Is this a complete working clock?
Yes. It is a complete round 10-inch wall clock with a black, white or wood-look base and black or white hands, giving six combinations. The hands move to show the current time and can pass over the printed portrait as they turn.
How is my piece made?
With AI. Image models create new artwork from your photos and details, guided by styles our team designs and tests. No one reviews it before you do, so what you see on the page is what we print.
What happens to my photos?
We use them only to create your pieces. They stay private to you and are sent to Google's Gemini image service to generate the artwork. Photos you add but never submit are deleted after 7 days.
Can I use separate photographs?
Yes. Add a photo of each person or one group photograph, then confirm who is who. The full lower portrait takes one to four people or pets; anniversary clocks take exactly two.
Does the date freeze the clock at that moment?
No. The date is printed on the face. The moving hands continue to tell the current time.
More questions (7)
Can I add names or a date?
Printed names and a date are optional and stay blank unless you add them. Check spelling, the date and the placement of the lettering in your free preview before ordering. The printed date records a memory while the moving hands continue to show the current time.
Can the hands cover part of the portrait?
The hands move across the face and may briefly pass over portraits or words. Check the finished clock preview before ordering.
Do I pay anything before I see my piece?
No. Seeing your piece is free and needs no card. You only pay if you order a print.
How long does it take?
Your first piece usually appears on this page in a minute or two, and the other print shapes and sizes follow a few minutes later. Add your email if you want them saved to an account.
What if it isn't quite right?
Change the style, a photo or the wording and try again — it's free. Nothing is printed until you order.
What if my print arrives damaged or misprinted?
Tell us within 14 days of delivery, with your order number and a photo, and we'll reprint it or refund you, whichever you prefer. You don't need to send it back. You approve the exact design before you order, so a print that doesn't match it counts as a misprint. Because each piece is made to order, we can't take it back if you change your mind.
How much does it cost?
Seeing your piece is free — you only pay if you order a print. Prints start at £63.00, and the exact price of each size and finish is shown on this page.
About Family Portrait Clock

Your photos become a portrait on a complete working round wall clock. The composition keeps faces clear of the central hub and leaves room for hour markings around the edge. Choose a black, white or wood-look base with black or white hands, giving six combinations for the 10-inch clock. Printed names and a date are optional and stay blank unless you add them. Upload clear photographs, identify the people to include and check the whole clock in your free preview. Review faces, spelling and the selected combination before ordering. The moving hands show the current time and can pass over the portrait as they turn.
