About Toy Letters Nursery Name Art

Toy Letters makes the name itself the object. The letters stand up across the middle of the picture as chunky rounded three-dimensional shapes, each painted a different muted tone — sage, dusty pink, oat, powder blue — with gentle watercolor shading down one side, and three young safari animals climb, lean and sit along the row as if it were playground equipment.

The letters are painted as part of the picture for your order rather than set in type, then read back against your typing, so a row that reads differently is painted again. Hugged Safari keeps its letters flat and lets the animals lean on them. Portrait at 4:5 and 2:3, with the lower part kept plain for the words.

How it works

  1. Stand up the letters

Type the first name and it is painted as a row of solid toy letters.

  2. Note the day

The full name starts filled in; add the birth date, the time and the weight below.

  3. See your piece

It appears right here within a couple of minutes. Pick the size, paper or canvas, and frame — or change something and try again.

  4. Only pay if you fall for one

No deposit, no obligation — if none of the designs feels right, you owe nothing.

  5. We print and ship

We start printing as soon as you order. Making it takes 2–5 business days, then it ships from the print partner nearest you.

Questions, answered

Do I pay anything before I see my piece?

No. Seeing your piece is free and needs no card. You only pay if you order a print.

How is my piece made?

With AI. Image models create new artwork from the details you add, guided by styles our team designs and tests. No one reviews it before you do, so what you see on the page is what we print.

How long does it take?

Your first piece usually appears on this page in a minute or two, and the other print shapes and sizes follow a few minutes later. Add your email if you want them saved to an account.

What if it isn't quite right?

Change the style or the wording and try again — it's free. Nothing is printed until you order.

What happens to the details I enter?

We use them only to create your pieces. They stay private to you and are sent to Google's Gemini image service to generate the artwork. Details you add but never submit are deleted after 7 days.

What sizes and formats can I order?

Your piece is prepared in the print shapes it suits, so you can pick what fits your wall. We offer a wide range of portrait, landscape and square formats from 6×6″ to 40×60″ — framed paper prints, canvas or framed canvas, or metal prints.

How long does printing take?

Printing takes 2–5 business days once you order, then your print ships from the print partner nearest you.

How is the name made?

It is painted as part of the picture rather than set in type: pressing See it starts a fresh watercolor in which the letters themselves are the objects. A reading check compares them with the name you typed, and a row that reads differently is painted again before you see it.

Which animals are playing on them?

Three, always the same three: a zebra foal sitting on top of one letter, a baby hippo peeking out from behind another, and a meerkat kit napping at the foot of the row. None of them covers a letter, so the name stays readable.

How long can the name be?

Three to ten letters. A space, a hyphen or an apostrophe is kept out of the row and stays in the full-name line underneath, and accented capitals such as É, Ë, Ö and Ø can be painted. A longer row is simply painted smaller.

Are they blocks or letters?

Letters. They are solid and rounded, like wooden toys standing on their bases, but each one is the shape of its own letter rather than a cube with a letter printed on the side, and they stand side by side in the order you typed.

What goes under the row?

Up to three lines in a classic serif: the full name, which starts filled in from what you typed; the date of birth with the time beside it; and the weight. Each line can be moved, resized or left out.

Which shapes are offered?

Portrait, at 4:5 and at a taller 2:3. The row sits across the upper middle in both, with the lower part of the picture kept plain so the words have room.

Will the name be spelled exactly right?

Yes. On every style the name is either set in real type or checked letter by letter before the design reaches you, and nothing is printed until you have seen it. If a style cannot draw a character, the form tells you before you start.

Why is there a length limit on the name?

Each scene holds the name its own way — a balloon per letter, a board on the side of a bus, letters the animals lean on — so each style has room for a certain number of letters. If a name is too long for one style, another usually fits it.

Can I add the birth date, time and weight?

Yes, all three are optional. They are set in small type beneath the art, and on most styles you can move or resize each line on the preview. The weight can be in kilograms or in pounds and ounces.

Can I order before the baby arrives?

Yes. Leave the birth details blank and the print carries the name alone — a baby-shower gift that still works once the baby is home.

What occasions is nursery name art for?

Decorating a new baby's room, a baby shower or naming-day gift, a first birthday, or a keepsake for grandparents. The name is the whole idea, so the piece still belongs on the wall long after the nursery becomes a bedroom.
