About Vivid Canvas Family Portrait

Vivid Canvas builds your family almost entirely from small, saturated dots of color, in the spirit of post-impressionist pointillism. Magenta, orange, violet and gold dots cluster densely to form faces and hair, while the background glows with the same stippled color, often radiating out from behind the group. Up close you see the dots; from across the room they merge into a luminous portrait.

It is made with AI from photos of each person and pet. Because everything is made of dots, it softens fine detail, which makes it a lively choice for children and sunny photos. Will faces stay recognizable in the Vivid Canvas style?

Usually, from a normal viewing distance: the dots merge into features, skin tones and expressions. Up close, the portrait breaks apart into color, which is part of the effect. Because dots soften fine detail, clear, well-lit photos matter more here than in the flat styles, so choose your sharpest pictures of each person.

Can I include someone who has passed away?

Yes, from older photos — many families make one for exactly this reason. A clear view of the face is what matters, not the age of the photo.

Will the faces actually look like us?
