About Renaissance Family Portrait

This portrait sits your family in a quiet room of the 1600s. The eldest take carved dark-wood chairs, the others stand close behind and beside them, and children stand at the front. Everyone wears black or deep-brown velvet with a wide white lace collar and lace cuffs, and a strand of pearls or a gold chain catches a soft window light. A dark green curtain hangs against an umber wall.

It is made with AI from a few photos of each person. Your own hair, hairline, beard and glasses stay as they are, with no wigs or caps added, so the faces read as yours rather than as a costume. A single sitter gets a dignified solo portrait, ready for an anniversary or a long dining-room wall.

Prices start at CA$91.00: Canvas from CA$91.00 (12″×16″) and Framed Poster from CA$103.00 (12″×16″).

Questions, answered

Do I pay anything before I see my piece?

No. Seeing your piece is free and needs no card. You only pay if you order a print.

How is my piece made?

With AI. Image models create new artwork from your photos and details, guided by styles our team designs and tests. No one reviews it before you do, so what you see on the page is what we print.

How long does it take?

Your first piece usually appears on this page in a minute or two, and the other print shapes and sizes follow a few minutes later. Add your email if you want them saved to an account.

What if it isn't quite right?

Change the style, a photo or the wording and try again — it's free. Nothing is printed until you order.

What if my print arrives damaged or misprinted?

Tell us within 14 days of delivery, with your order number and a photo, and we'll reprint it or refund you, whichever you prefer. You don't need to send it back. You approve the exact design before you order, so a print that doesn't match it counts as a misprint. Because each piece is made to order, we can't take it back if you change your mind.

What happens to my photos?

We use them only to create your pieces. They stay private to you and are sent to Google's Gemini image service to generate the artwork. Photos you add but never submit are deleted after 7 days.

What sizes and formats can I order?

Your piece is prepared in the print shapes it suits, so you can pick what fits your wall. We offer a wide range of portrait, landscape and square formats from 6×6″ to 40×60″ — framed paper prints, canvas or framed canvas, or metal prints.

How long does printing take?

Printing takes 2–5 business days once you order, then your print ships from the print partner nearest you.

Is this a copy of a famous painting?

No. It is your family, posed and dressed like a 17th-century household portrait, with no crowns, thrones or titles. Nothing is borrowed from one particular painting: the look comes from the era's dark backgrounds, soft side light and lace collars, rebuilt around your own faces so the result is a new picture that belongs to you.

How many people can be in it?

One to six, pets included. The eldest are seated and the rest stand, so faces stay large enough to recognize. A solo portrait works well for a milestone birthday, and a couple sits side by side. For five or six people, choose a larger print so every face keeps its detail.

Which photos should we upload?

One to three clear photos of each person, faces well lit and turned toward the camera. A group photo works too: the page finds every face in it and you say who is who. Glasses, beards and hairstyles are taken from your pictures, so choose photos that show them the way you like them.

What does it cost to see it?

Nothing. The preview is free and needs no card; you see your family in the scene before deciding anything, and you pay only if you order a print. Prints come on paper, canvas or metal, framed or not, printed to order in the size you choose.

Do the photos need to be taken together?

No — that is the point. Each person comes from their own photos and we compose them into one scene. Different years, places and lighting all work.

How many people can be in the portrait?

Up to the card limit on the form — enough for a large family including pets. The form shows how many people and pets fit in one portrait.

Can our dog be in the family portrait?

Yes. Add your dog — or your cat — as a card of its own, with one to three clear photos of its face, and it appears in the portrait beside everyone else, in the same style. A pet takes a card just like a person, so it counts toward the same limit.

Can I include someone who has passed away?

Yes, from older photos — many families make one for exactly this reason. A clear view of the face is what matters, not the age of the photo.

Will the faces actually look like us?

The style sets the medium; the likeness comes from your photos. If someone is not quite right, add a clearer photo of them and try again — it's free, and nothing is printed until you order.

What occasions is a custom family portrait for?

The moments a family changes shape: a new baby, a wedding, an anniversary, grandparents far away — or simply finally getting everyone, dog included, into one frame.
