Questions, answered
What will our family portrait look like?
Faces take on geometric, totem-like shapes with almond-shaped eyes, irregular black outlines and colorful patchwork. Scratched plaster textures give the print its expressive surface. Skin and hair colors come from your photos, while features are deliberately stylized. This is printed artwork rather than a textured plaster or painted surface; check the look in your free preview.
Can we use photos taken separately?
Yes. Upload a group picture or separate clear photos for one to four people, and identify everyone you want included. Choose photos that show each face and the whole hairstyle clearly. The portrait brings them into one family composition. Check every person in the free preview before deciding whether to order.
Is this a complete working clock?
Yes. It is a complete round 10-inch wall clock, with a black, white or wood-look base and black or white hands, making six combinations. Faces sit in an arc away from the central hub, with hour markings around the edge. The hands move to show the current time and can pass over the portrait as they turn.
How is my piece made?
With AI. Image models create new artwork from your photos and details, guided by styles our team designs and tests. No one reviews it before you do, so what you see on the page is what we print.
What happens to my photos?
We use them only to create your pieces. They stay private to you and are sent to Google's Gemini image service to generate the artwork. Photos you add but never submit are deleted after 7 days.
Can I use separate photographs?
Yes. Add a photo of each person or one group photograph, then confirm who is who. The full lower portrait takes one to four people or pets; anniversary clocks take exactly two.
Does the date freeze the clock at that moment?
No. The date is printed on the face. The moving hands continue to tell the current time.
More questions (7)
Can we add names or a special date?
Printed names and a date are optional, and both stay blank unless you add them. The lettering sits below the portrait rather than inside the painted-style faces. Check spelling, the date and the finished layout in your preview before ordering. A printed date records a memory; the moving hands still show the current time.
Can the hands cover part of the portrait?
The hands move across the face and may briefly pass over portraits or words. Check the finished clock preview before ordering.
Do I pay anything before I see my piece?
No. Seeing your piece is free and needs no card. You only pay if you order a print.
How long does it take?
Your first piece usually appears on this page in a minute or two, and the other print shapes and sizes follow a few minutes later. Add your email if you want them saved to an account.
What if it isn't quite right?
Change the style, a photo or the wording and try again — it's free. Nothing is printed until you order.
What if my print arrives damaged or misprinted?
Tell us within 14 days of delivery, with your order number and a photo, and we'll reprint it or refund you, whichever you prefer. You don't need to send it back. You approve the exact design before you order, so a print that doesn't match it counts as a misprint. Because each piece is made to order, we can't take it back if you change your mind.
How much does it cost?
Seeing your piece is free — you only pay if you order a print. Prints start at CA$89.00, and the exact price of each size and finish is shown on this page.
About Totemic Expressionist Family Portrait Clock

Heavy black outlines, almond-shaped eyes and angular faces meet vermilion, sage, teal and mustard patchwork. Scratched plaster textures form a printed effect, while skin and hair colors come from your photos.
Upload a group picture or separate clear portraits. We bring your family together in an arc, with faces away from the central hub and room for hour markings and optional printed names or date. Check everyone in a free preview before ordering your 10-inch clock. Choose a black, white or wood-look base with black or white hands: six combinations. Names and date stay blank unless added, while moving hands show the current time.
